December 15 Day 70

Ok, it's been a while since I've been able to update, so here I am.

P'nut and Lola have gone to their new homes. Scarlett leaves tomorrow. Scarlett's hair has begun to grow back in, but she still has a way to go.

The puppies took a turn for the worst with their demedex, but after weeks of treatment twice a day and medicated baths, they are finally beginning to grow hair back.

After all the trips to the vet, we'll be lucky if we break even financially. The most important thing, though, is that they are safe now. I'll try very hard to get new pictures up tomorrow.


Well, I was able to get pictures tonight. Todd is the *really* bald one. He looks like he needs a toupee! He does have fine hairs growing in, though.

November 28- Day 53

Well, it's official. The puppies have demedex. It's the same thing that Scarlett has, but it we caught it *really* early, before they lost any hair, so it's easily treatable. They are going through a 3-prong treatment- dip, ivermec, and shampoo. Within a couple of weeks, we should notice a great improvement.

Scarlett has also started her treatment. I can't wait to see how beautifully she turns out.

P'nut is going home next week. I can't believe how quickly time goes.

November 24- Day 49

The puppies are going in on Tuesday for their 9 week vaccinations. All are doing well and growing like weeds. Here are some photos I took today. They are beginning to sprout some sibling rivalry so I'm having to separate them. I think they may need to go to new homes sooner rather than later. Sigh...

Scarlett's hair has all but stopped growing. Hopefully Dr. Beall can give her something to help stimulate the growth. Please keep all of them in your prayers. I hope to get pics up soon.
